Chief Executive Officer Henry Burton Announces Plans To Invest In Black Communities, Hoping To Provide Schooling, Internships And Other Programs To Allow These Communities To Grow
PEACH TREE - On Wednesday, Product Mart Stores Inc, President and CEO Henry Burton announced that the company would begin investing in African-American, lower income neighborhoods to provide services, education and job opportunities to those in these neighborhoods, who are struggling to get a start on their education or career.
The company announced that it was investing over 1.61 billion dollars in the program. The program will focus on providing funding so that individuals in these communities, who would otherwise be unable to afford additional school, will be able to get a college education. The program will pay up to 15,000 dollars on tuition, and will also provide additional programs to these eligible students.
